With ancient roots in Hindu philosophy, yoga has blossomed into a popular form of exercise with a variety of benefits. Through the practice of physical poses - or asanas - participants develop core and skeletal muscle strength, balance, flexibility, breath control and mental focus.

Because of the many yoga varieties and the varying intensities at which it is taught, it's important to find a yoga class that suits you. We offer Hatha Yoga - the style most commonly practiced. Our instructor's warm, friendly style focuses on making your yoga experience personal, appropriate and enjoyable. Rather than pressure the class as a whole to achieve any particular pose, the yogini demonstrates poses and then offers modifications that allow students at any level work in their comfort zone.

Yoga is a fantastic addition to any fitness regimen. It serves as a core and flexibility session for those with intense training schedules, enhancing performance and reducing overuse injuries. And it's a mild, invigorating workout for those who want a gentle, low impact activity.
