Shaolin Kung Fu

Shaolin Kung Fu is a Chinese martial art founded nearly 1500 years ago by the Shaolin monks. It is the original blend of hard and soft styles found in other martial arts. By taking inspiration from nature with reliance on the force generated by natural body mechanics, this system utilizes various animal movements and their fighting techniques as a form of self defense.

Aspects of this art this class will address include: forms, sparring, throws, joint locks, weapons and a variety of structured exercises.

Shaolin Kung Fu is perfect for those interested in the developing the mental and physical discipline that comes with studying the martial arts, but prefer a less forceful option. This art form offers moderate development of cardio fitness and noticeable improvement in strength and flexibility.
